My passions in life...

Well I will begin this from my childhood days as in different part from my life I got interested by different stuff. I loved to play and dance as a kid. Dance was my passion, my stress buster, my everything. I got to learn Odissi dance for a short period of time. I took part in school events and I enjoyed every moment of it. When I used to be alone in home I loved playing music in loud volume and dance forgetting the world outside... Its real fun.
I also love listening music. And I have a huge collection of songs. In college time I began my song collection. My best friends love singing as well. And from them I got updated about lots of songs I didn't listen before. We began collecting at same time by interchanging what we had already and downloading lots and lots more. I never listened to English bands earlier which I started then. Now I have collections from Backstreet boys,

Westlife, Shaina Twain,Celine Dion,MLTR, to name a few(as they are my fav) and in hindi I have songs of almost all singers starting from Suraiya, Hemant Kumar to Sonu nigam and Shreya. In addition to this I have many telugu songs as well which I started to listen after going to Hyderabad for my job. Then there are Oriya songs. Some old some new.. just the ones I like. And the recent addition are some Korean songs which I am crazy about right now. I love the bands Kara, T-ara,SNSD,DBSK, Epik High. The music is really great.
Then comes my novel reading. I started reading from Charles Dickens, Enid Blyton, Nancy Drew, Famous Five and normal books for a kid. Then gradually as I grew I was hooked by romantic Mills n Boons and Sherlock Holmes, Sydney Sheldon, Nicholas Sparks, Nora Roberts to name a few ( mostly romantic,mystery thriller suspense sort of).
Traveling has always been important for me. My parents job include lot of traveling for Conferences and seminars and we always go together. And I loved every place we went. I remember saving money from my pocket money for this trips so that I can buy something else a comic book for train journey. We interacted with many people and made some friends(adult friends i.e.). I remember one person clearly, she was from Jammu and we met in Pune. I was hardly 7 years old. She used to tell us jokes and spend time with us. We kept meeting regularly in subsequent conferences. But the last time I saw her was in her place. Just before joining my job, parents had this seminar to attend. So I thought may be its the last time. The seminar was held in Jammu and when she saw us, was so happy. I felt very good but kind of kept quiet mostly (my nature) and she was like 'you used to speak so much and tell jokes as a kid, now u have become silent'. Well it was true but I couldn't help it as I was meeting her after long time and was at loss to what to say!! Ok now back to

topic, can't help but going back to that time. Every place has its own charm and I enjoy exploring it, as it is. At home I mostly watch Travel & Living. As if I can't go physically to all places but still I can know more about it. In India I have been to Jammu, Delhi, Rohtak, Bhopal, Ujjain, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Darjeeling, Ooty, Kodaikanal to name a few and the list will continue life long. As my Hubby loves traveling too we plan to spend some time for touring every year. Hope to see atleast some of the places in our common 'Top places to travel'.
Ok enough blogging for today ... I guess blogging has become a passion lately... :-)

Memories - Never fade away

Sometimes when I am alone I become nostalgic with all my life dancing in front of my eyes. I think of my childhood days. The time when I loved to play with my friends till it was dark and my parents get tired of calling me. The day I became friendly with my neighbor's dog Guddu. Before that I was scared of dogs. Till now I remember the day Dugloo(neighbor) brought their new dog to play with us. I got scared and started running. And I turn back and my heart is in my mouth as I see her releasing the chain and he started running behind me. Luckily door of our home was open so I got in but forgot to lock so he came in too and started jumping around the chair I climbed on to. That was our intro. Then gradually I played with him and gave him walks. I never had a pet but with him I felt he was my pet too. Then those were days when I used to come back from school. I liked the solitude I got in my school bus after most of the students got down. My stoppage was almost at last. I loved looking out from my window at the passing scenes. There there would be days when it rained cats and dogs. And Oh my God!! I forgot to bring my raincoat/umbrella with me. I would be praying that someone from my family would be there(mostly mom). And when I get down she would be standing there partly drenched(umbrella can't survive the rain). That would be the most relaxing sight and I would thank God that she was present. And I no longer take stress for the rain, and happily walk home with her thinking about the hot pakodas I will have once back. This feeling still is with me as I feel once my parents are with me I stop caring about petty things and look forward to stuff which will make all happy. I can never forget the times when we got sick and my father would be awake all night to make sure we are all right. Then the days with my sister. The study time was gossip time for us. Every day evening we used to sit together to study but once parents are out of the scene we used to chat. She told gossips going around her class and sometimes we just day dream. Imagining some thing and building a story around it. It was fun to do. Else my most fav part was books... yes books.. but story books.. what you thought I will be excited about reading my regular books... no way. She is 5 years older so when I was younger she used to get all sort of kid novels from library which we were not allowed. And I used to read them like crazy and enjoy imagining the story. From then I got the habit of reading books. And as my parents love literature we subscribed to some magazines in a monthly basis. And I used to read those too.That inspired me to write a short story(drama) of my own when I was in class 7. But I think its lost by now. But the love to write was deep inside and I regularly wrote my daily. And after many days I thought to start writing. May it be anything, any place I have seen, my memories, experiences anything I want to keep a note of. Blogging is just like writing my dairy but its open for all to know about me and my life.
